1 large, brand new, traditional, family home

Completed Summer 2016

We were appointed to work on this project by a private client, following a competitive tender process.  The site, in which there was a small bungalow, extended to three acres with a view overlooking the golf course.  A substantial 5 bedroom home within a total of 4,000 sq ft of accommodation replaced the bungalow and utilised the setting.

The property was of a traditional construction, however we installed a ground source heat pump and formed a galleried landing – accessed via a contemporary steel and glass staircase.  We created split-level, ground floor living accommodation and fitted high-end kitchen, bathrooms and cabinetry.

Another interesting aspect of the project was the creation of a lake and extensive ground engineering to re-model the three acres in which the new home sits.

There was a high level of client involvement with us during construction due to the bespoke nature of the property.  The client was on hand throughout the build which meant that client revisions could be acted upon when changes were made.

Commissioning any size of home is a financial and emotional investment for a private individual.  A householder client’s investment scales up alongside the size and level of specification of the property.  This is something we more than appreciate when clients want to be closely involved on site.  We’re happy to hand-hold clients through all aspects of the construction process.
