1 new private residence, architect-designed, timber framed house

Completed early 2017

This was a commission for a private client for a brand new home on the footprint of an existing, old bungalow.  We were awarded the job following a competitive tender for which we were recommended by the client’s architect with whom we had worked on a development project in another South Cambridgeshire village.

Technicalities of the build included a piled foundation solution, ground source heat pump installation and a vaulted timber framed structure – all arranged around a central courtyard.

The client was closely involved with the day to day work on site and was on hand to see how the ‘dream home’ came together.

We’re happy when clients appreciate the effort, expertise and experience we bring in translating their architect’s and their own vision into a brand new home.

An impressive property and a lovely looking, modern, private home finished to a high internal specification.  It is worthy of its prominent setting on a South Cambridgeshire village green.  A proud addition to our portfolio of homes built for private householders.
